Apparently, I missed harvesting some of the garlic bulbs last year. Now, I have several clusters like this one sprouting up. Just what I needed, too, because I didn't get any planted in the fall.
When do you plant and harvest garlic? What variety do you like to grow?

Same here - yesterday I found a tuft of garlic shoots from a bulb that disappeared in the wet mess of last summer! They now make a neat row alongside the ones I found before Christmas! I have grown "Christo" in the past - a long keeping variety (these are probably some stray ones). Variable success - weather dependant!!!

I can only imagine how large those cloves must be to put forth such lush and thick growth! Supergarlic!

Looks good.
I can't remember the name of my garlic - I save cloves from one year to the next and plant them. Some in the winter - and save some for the spring - in case the winter ones rot in the wet soil
Hey Free Garlic. Well sort of.
I bought garlic and fully intended to plant it. Just didn't will have to see if it ddkwmis still firm(and plant) so I can have smaller garlic come fall.
