2020 Garden List


Beans seeds-Purple bush.  Sprouted first, and to the garden 6/5
Bok Choy seedlings have sprouted.  To the garden soon. (it is supposed to be ok with some shade)
Borage-planted seeds 4/25, planted. Also a couple self-sowed seedlings in garden.

Broccoli plants-Packman. Planted in cloche, others planted 4/26. Withstands heat
Broccoli seeds-Purple Sprouting, sprouted and still in seedling tray.

Calendula seeds sprouted and planted in garden
Cilantro plants-planted in garden 4/25. Light: part shade 3-6 hrs.
Lettuce seeds-sprouted and still in seedling tray, harvesting mid May

Okra has sprouted in starter pots!  To the garden later in June?

Pumpkin, small pie type-planted seed 4/25. Additional seedlings into the garden 6/8
Patty Pan squash-planted seeds 4/25, now in the garden

Radish seeds planted 5/16, sprouting 5/19
Rhubarb - moved starts from old garden area to new garden area.

Snap Peas plants-Sugar Sprint.  Vines grow to 24" plant 4-6" apart. Early, stringless, edible pods
flowering by mid-May and few small pods harvested.
Snap Peas - planted seeds 5/16 to fill in gaps

Swiss Chard plants-Bright Lights.  Plant 4-6" apart in rows 12-18 '' apart. some in cloche, others planted 4/26. Mid May-eating.

I had upsized the tomato pots for awhile and planted them in the garden 4/26 with plastic covering.

Zucchini-Spineless Beauty, bush-type plant.  Seedlings planted in the garden 4/26

Hot Lips Sage, perennial, a few leaves showing 5/15
Lady's Mantle (alchemilla mollis) perennial, sun/part shade.
Coneflower (echinacea hybrida "Cheyenne Spirit", perennial. deer resistant, moist, full sun
Rudbeckia fulgida Goldstrum
Dianthus, perennial. On patio, fragrant. Cold tolerant. Well-drained, lime-enrichged soil
Lemon Thyme, part shade 3-6 hrs
Spanish Lavender, Lavandula "Anouk Silver"
Spiraea thunbergii "Ogon" Mellow Yellow Spiraea-height to 4 ifeet hardy to -25 deg. full sun
