Sunlit moss in North Bend, Washington, at a wonderful get-away spot that just cannot be captured by the camera. You'll just have to take my word. What a nice, blue sky day. Hopefully we'll see another one tomorrow. 
Through the middle of the photo is a long-time fallen tree. As a nurse log, it has helped the trees growing on it get a good start and now it is deteriorating and returning to the earth.
