A Break from the Cold

Emily, sunning in the garden last fall.

I needed a break from the gray/white sky and white ground here. It is 24 F / -4 C and I feel warmer just remembering this sunny day.

No one suns quite like a cat.

Thanks for break from the snow pictures; however, have looked outside? It's snowing - again!!

You know, she is just sitting there with her legs together and her paws daintly together - reminding me of a Victorian lady sitting bolt upright in her chair entertaining visitors for afternoon tea - vivid imagination I have - but it just came to mind.

Maybe she was one in a past life!

Very pretty cat! The colors of the cat and the flowers together are gorgeous.

Hmmmm... the cat seems just a bit annoyed at having its picture taken!

Something had just caught her eye while I was taking these. She is quite elegant, until she bites. I love how she joins me in the garden (guarding the catnip I'm sure) and follows us around outside. Even though she picks on the other cats, she has her sweet side too.

She's so fluffy!!
I bet she doesn't feel the cold!
If she's anything like my cat she probably doesn't go outside in the cold!

I love all the pictures you've been posting - this is fun. I've often wondered who/what was visiting when the tracks weren't available, too! :-) I ALMOST miss the snow at home, when I see pics of it...ALMOST. Seeing the cat in the garden against all the flowers made me smile - I pull up my garden pictures at least once a week - love those flowers!

She's sitting there because she knows those pink flowers show her grey coat to best advantage. Such a cat!

Your Emily is such a pretty cat!

Oh, did you realise that many bloggers are posting pics of their cats lately? Since we do not have pets, I am always delighted to see them! Thanks for sharing your little beauty!
