Petunia is the garter snake that moved into our vegetable garden in its early days. This space shares the ever-evolving garden along with some excursions beyond the fence.
A friend gave me starts of rhubarb last year. This one is sprouting already while the others remain tucked in. We will see if the early riser is the wiser in the March garden.
I love rhubarb. I have a small plant in my garden, I often see it come up before the snow has fully melted, it always seems to survive. The colour in yout photo is lovely.
Rhubarb! Love it. Mine is rearing it's pretty head too. I put a pot over it for forcing. The pot will protect the rhubarb from frost and will make the stems more tender.
This is my first year that I'll be forcing rhubarb so keep your fingers crossed it will work.

My dad grew amazing rhubarb which my mum made into fantastic puddings.
Yours looks about the same height as rate of growth as one of mine. They do tend to start at different times, but all catch up later.
