Broccoli tonight?
So how do I know when the broccoli is ready to harvest? I do hope to harvest the main head and let the smaller side shoots keep growing. Does this one look ready now?

I'm not exactly sure to tell when it's ready, but that one does look ready. I say go for it.
I do know that if it blooms it's beyond ready.
Yesterday I picked and lightly steamed the one pictured on my blog today that looks like yours and it tasted good.

We had it for dinner yesterday (raw in a salad). It was good & tender. Its neighbor is on the dinner menu for tonight, probably steamed. Thanks for the input. I'll go check out yours now.
