No Doubt About This Frost

There may have been a light frost earlier in the month, but no question about what happened last night.
The forecast was for 34 degrees and the clear, cold evening felt like a frost was on the way. Picked most the tomatoes just in case.

the frost photos are beautiful! I felt the frost in the air late yesterday afternoon also, and moved my most tender container plantings indoors, grabbed the last of the tomatoes.

Chilly! Great pics. We're still frost free here but there's a cold north wind today and I'm betting on the first frost before the weekend!

Oh my, that looks cold. But the pics are really good. At least you were able to save the tomatoes.

Beautiful pictures... I "borrowed" the frosty flowers to set as my wallpaper on my computer this week because I liked it so much. I like to change the wallpaper often, and that's very appropriate as we're getting closer to our first "no doubt" frost, too!

Yes, my kitchen also has a large bowel of green tomatoes to ripen.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words and for visiting. The landscape that day (and several more) made it a little easier to accept the cold facts.
