August Garden Photos

The first of the beans has reached the 11 foot top of the climber.  Soon, it will be thickly covered.
The pumpkins, Queensland Blue (from Matron) and sugar pumpkins, are starting to spread out.  The other squash plants are delicata winter squash and pattypan scallop summer squash.  The aren't supposed to spread as much as the pumpkins.

A few sunny days ago.

Looking good! Is your bean climbing frame an old bed?

It is two sections of movable fencing that the prior owners left at our house. Wood frame with wire fencing attached. I think they used it to block certain openings or areas from the alpacas.

We attached hinges to hold the two sections together. I love it when it gets covered with bean vines, but the very top is a challenge to reach.
