He was very colorful, as we could see while he was flying, but not in the photos. He'll probably be on his way north tomorrow.

Petunia is the garter snake that moved into our vegetable garden in its early days. This space shares the ever-evolving garden along with some excursions beyond the fence.

I still find it amazing that you have hummingbirds in Washington State. I just associate them with a warmer climate. No hummingbirds in the UK sadly.
