There is evidence we've had some deer sized guests. I decided against posting the FIRST evidence I found (on the ground).
Now they are just getting careless! There are hoof prints at the bottom of the photo, a partially eaten apple to the right, and oh, yes, the broken birdbath/planter! We're heard a doe & a buck have been sighted.

They can be a real pain, can't they? I've had them stomp, remove and eat plants and trees, but never break anything. They must have been really frisky to have broken the bird bath!
Sorry about your broken bird bath! What a nuisance.
as you said 'Oh Deer'. Difficult to keep out really!
Oh, what a pain. Thanks for not showing the extra "evidence"! :) They recently discovered my folks' garden, it's not going to be fun if they chomp all the appple tree fruiting spurs like they seem liable to. Hope they move on to greener pastures soon!
My deer are better behaved. The funniest thing this month is how many blog posts are coming up titled "Oh Deer", including mine. Love your blog's name and inspiration although I will faint once I see one of the garter snakes that I know inhabit my garden.
Stop by my blog sometime.
