WA Public Garden Links

This is an in-development list of links to public gardens, parks and other places of gardening interest, mostly in western Washington state. I hope to visit them some day, and SAGBUTT may be the reason! Additions welcome.

Seattle / Bellevue / King County Area (somewhat North to South):

Still looking for more?

Karen, at Greenwalks , shared her list and reviews on Seattle area gardens. NOW, I find out about this nice list! And thanks to Catherine, A Gardener in Progress, for her additions.

Here is a link to even more WA Gardens from the I Love site, I found from one of these other garden sites.

Any future SAGBUTT meeting locations??? Stay tuned...

This is a great list! Bastyr is very nice and it's just beautiful in St. Edward's park!
Bellevue Botanical Gardens another favorite. Great place to take kids too, so many gardens and lots of walking trails. The others sound really interesting too. Rhododendron Park in Kenmore is very beautiful during rhodie time. Lots of walking areas and a nice park too.

Just thought of another place. Flower World in Maltby huge nursery with great pond and water features to walk around and see.

Great list! I hope we visit many in our SAGBUTT future gatherings. I'd like to suggest the UW Arboretum (maybe we could do a Japanese maple walk in the fall?), Kubota gardens (maybe we can visit at cherry blossom time?), the gardens at the Ballard Locks, and the Seattle Tilth demonstration gardens, all in Seattle. I wrote a post about this a while back, and a commenter also suggested Bradner Gardens, which I still have not been to. Happy Valentine's Day!

Catherine & Karen,
Thanks for the additions! This started out simply moving a paper list I had to electronic/blog. Boy, once you start looking, the gardens pop up all over!
I'm working on the March meeting place, but a meeting space like at the Miller library isn't so easy! Have an option I'm checking out tomorrow.

Excellent list--thanks so much! With company visiting us all the time, it's really nice to have a variety of places to go, and your list definitely has that.
