October Gold

The maples seem especially golden this year. And it has been in this last week that the trees have really started turning colors. I also think every tree/plant that missed its normal pollination schedule is making up for it now. I hope this is an exceptional year and not a trend for me. Something is giving me an allergy-like reaction. Really hard to stay out of it when the days turn nice and sunny.

Visit this post to see why they are on the compost watch list: 2006 Maples. We've started our collection of mowed grass & leaves for composting. There will be more to come when the maples fall.

It's a strange phenomenon, but here in England we are having the best Autumn colour that I can remember! Just in the last couple of days it is spectacular here too. I wonder why you have having the same over there on the West Coast? Spooky!

We too are having some amazing autumnal colours apparently it is due to all the wet weather we have been having!!!
